Artist David Reece growing up in Oklahoma USA, was exposed to country music at an early age in his youth. David's interests soon expanded into the realms of the rising rock scene of the 70’s with acts like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Whitesnake & The Rolling Stones. In the late 1980’s Reece’s voice was very well known in the rock scene even outside the US, when in 1989 he got the chance to audition and join German Heavy Metal Band “Accept” to record the eighth studio album “Eat The Heat”.
The supporting Eat the Heat tour consisted of David Reece on vocals, Wolf Hoffmann on lead guitar, Peter Baltes on bass, Stefan Kaufmann on drums, and Jim Stacey (ex-Break Point) on rhythm guitar. The first leg of the tour consisted of the band headlining at small clubs around the U.S. for about two months when Kaufmann sustained a back injury and was replaced by House of Lords drummer Ken Mary. The second leg began the North American act with W.A.S.P. and Metal Church joining the stage.
After touring the world on the big stages with Accept David Reece decided it was time to move on to new musical ventures and in 1991 formed a new band called “Bangalore Choir”. Recruiting friends from the L.A. scene including guitarist Curt Mitchell and John Kirk formerly of Razor Maid , bassist Ian Mayo and drummer Jackie Ramos from Huricane Alice. Their debut album "On Point" was produced by Max Norman in 1992, and featured songs co written by Jon Bon Jovi and Aldo Nova. The hit single “Loaded Gun” hit all major rock stations and the video for the song was a steady on the music channel MTV.
Shortly after Mayo and Ramos moved on to the band Bad Moon Rising with Mayo also continuing with the band Burning Rain. David Reece moved on to form the band Sircle of Silence. The band's lineup included Chris Colovas on bass, Jay Schellen on drums, David Reece lead vocals, and Larry Farkas on lead guitar. In 2010, talks of a Bangalore Choir reunion resurfaced with Reece being the driving force rejoining guitarist Curt Mitchell as well as original bassist Danny Greenberg. These three original members, along with new guitarist Andy Susemihl (formerly of U.D.O.) and drummer Hans in 't Zandt, made a new Bangalore Choir album in spring and summer of 2010, called "Cadence". This the second album, was released on September 23, 2010 through German label AOR Heaven. In November 2011, David Reece stated vocals were completed on a new 3rd Bangalore Choir album "Metaphor" and was released in April 2012.
Around this time the music industry saw a big shift on multiple fronts, and David Reece being an energic and creative soul continued to put out great heavy music. Albums with "Sircle of Silence" and collaborations with the Swedish band "Gypsy Rose", or guitar wizards Martin Kronlund and Christian Tolle continued to pour from Reece despite Industry troubles.
In 2009 Reece's first solo album "Universal Language" hit the shelves and was very well received, just as his second effort in 2013 "Compromise".
With lots of projects in between it wasn't until 2014 when Reece joined EZ LIVIN'. EZ Livin' founded in 1991, in the same year sold 20,000 copies of their debut album, "After The Fire" in Europe alone. After the release of the record, the band successfully went on the road as part of the Metal Hammer Roadshow together with Axel Rudi Pell, Casanova, Coracko and Domain. In 2013, Hans Ziller called some new colleagues to get the group going again. The guitarist added some familiar names to the line-up Harry Reischmann drummer of Bonfire, Chris Lyne (Mother Road, ex-Soul Doctor) on guitar, Ronnie Parks (Tango Down, Seven Witches) on bass guitar, Paul Morris (Rainbow) on keyboards, piano and organ and former Accept front man David Reece (Bangalor Choir) completing the band playing melodic hard rock with a bluesy touch. Chris Lyne appears as guest on guitars.
After a successful run of dates, he eventually joined Bonfire, tracking albums "Glörius" (2015) and "Pearls" (2016), which saw a reincarnation of the band across Germany and Europe.
After leaving Bonfire due to personal reasons, former band mate guitarist Frank Pane contacted Reece after some time to form a new Classic Rock Band. With basic song ideas under Pane's arm, they both started to continue writing with the idea of being the kind of organic jam band, that is about the soul and heart of Rock 'n Roll, and so "Sainted Sinners" was born. Expressing the "pure essence of rock 'n' roll", was the ambition that paired five well-known and experienced musicians together in early 2016, to create and play the music which is deeply inside their hearts and in their blood. The love for rock legends, such as DEEP PURPLE, LED ZEPPELIN, RAINBOW, WHITESNAKE, UFO, BLACK SABBATH, VAN HALEN and many others, built the cornerstone for the music of the new founded five-piece called SAINTED SINNERS. The group's lineup is filled by David Reece vocals, guitar player Frank Pané, keyboardist Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL) and the dynamic rhythm section of the two former PURPENDICULAR members Malte Frederik Burkert (bass) and the Hungarian drum maestro Berci Hirleman.
On the new solo project "Resilient Heart", David Reece has teamed up with the musicians Marco Angioni (guitar), Martin J. Andersen (guitar), Malte Frederik Burkert (bass) and Sigurd J. Jensen (drums). Reece previously said: "I was searching for a record company that would see my vision as a solo artist, so I reached out to Mike Tramp and he suggested I speak with Michael H. Andersen at Mighty Music. Michael teamed me up with the Danish producer and songwriting team Marco Angioni and Martin Jepsen Andersen, both from the band MERIDIAN. The collaboration we’re working on is exactly where I want to go musically, and Michael H. Andersen and Mighty Music have given me a home to release my new record and given me a hundred percent support and belief in this new record! The album will be recorded at Death Island Studio in Denmark with Marco Angioni as producer and is entitled 'Resilient Heart'."
As one of the hardest working people in rock music, it's naturally and the most important for David Reece to give all the emotion, passion, and creativity into his music, ever since he started and continue to do so.
Heavy metal vocalist, songwriter and former Accept/Bonfire frontman, David Reece, will be releasing his long awaited new solo album worldwide through Mighty Music in November.
“Resilient Heart” an album rich on full blown melodic heavy metal, will be the follow up album from his latest solo album “Compromise” released in 2013. "Resilient Heart" is the perfect album for all fans of heavy metal. It's a wide album containing all of the greatest elements within heavy rock and melodic metal. Yet with a modern production. The first single of the album "Anytime At All" is a wonderful heavy rocker with a touch of Coverdale and Whitesnake inspiration. A song with a powerfull riff, and a strong verse leading up to a bombastic sing-a-long chorus, where a song like "Perfect Apocalypse" stands out with it's progressive Pretty Maids inspired elements. ***More about the "Resilient Heart" upcoming release***
