About The Veer Union
Talking about “I’m So Sick”, the band’s Crispin Earl says: “I remember the first time hearing this song when I was just starting The Veer Union - it just blew me away! Lacey Sturm's voice was like nothing I had ever heard in Rock/Nu-metal. I have always been interested in songs that can stand the test of time and there is no question in my mind that "I'm So Sick" is one of those songs!" The Vancouver, Canada based band has collectively sold over 130,000 Albums and also reached over 40 Million Streams Worldwide. TVU has placed eight singles in the Top 40 of the Billboard Rock Radio Charts and averages over 100 live shows per year. TVU released their first independent album titled “Time To Break The Spell” in 2006 under the name Veer. The band gained notoriety after winning a spot in the CFOX 99.3 Vancouver "Seeds" radio competition in 2007. In 2008 the band updated their name to The Veer Union and landed a record deal with Universal Records. The critically acclaimed 1st single "Seasons" charted Top 10 at Active Rock Radio in the US and Canada. 2009 saw the release of their Universal distributed album "Against The Grain", which included "Seasons", "Youth of Yesterday", and "Darker Side of Me". In 2012 the band released their self-produced 3rd album (the 2nd as The Veer Union) "Divide the Blackened Sky" which yielded the Active Rock hit "Bitter End". In late 2013 TVU released the "Life Support, Vol. 1" EP as part of a Kickstarter campaign. In 2016 they released the 4th full length LP “Decade” to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their 1st release. With the success of the album “Decade” and the single “Defying Gravity” – which chronicled Earl's battle with depression, the band continued to move forward, and the result was the "Decade 2: Rock & Acoustic" album in 2018. The single & video "Living Not Alive" from Decade 2 was nominated for "Best Independent Video" by the Hollywood Music In Media Awards, and has over 1 million views on both YouTube and Facebook. To commemorate the one-year anniversary of Chester Bennington's death, The Veer Union paid tribute to the late Linkin Park vocalist with an acoustic cover of "Numb", also from the Decade 2 album. The video has more than 200,000 views on YouTube and over 750,000 on Facebook. The band plans to tour North America and release new music in the 2nd half of 2020, including select festival dates.
