Avem is a Progressive Rock/ Metal Band from Vienna. With members from all over the world and diverse musical backgrounds, Avem sit on the experimental side of the Rock/Metal genre.
Avem place groove and energy above all else, and with a strong emphasis on melody and rhythm there are no boundaries on musical expression.
Avem features the remarkable vocal talents of Nora Bendzko, the chunk of Reece Tyrrell on guitar, the melodies of Manu Sharma on keys, the groove of Seppo Uhari on drums and the massive low end of Florian Uhl on bass.

Avem ist eine Hard Rockband aus Wien, der es vor allem darum geht verschiedene Bereiche der Musik auszuloten.
Bei Avem gibt keine Zwänge in welche Richtung es musikalisch gehen soll. Keinen festen Lautstärke- oder Härtegrad. Energie und Groove haben höchste Priorität und komplexe Rhythmen und Melodien werden zu energiereichen Songs verwoben.
Das feste Line-Up besteht aus Nora Bendzko aus Deutschland (Gesang), Reece Tyrrell aus Australien (Gitarre), Seppo Uhari aus Finnland (Drums), Florian Uhl aus Österreich (Bass) und Manu Sharma (Keys), Kärntner mit indischen Wurzeln.

    AVEM sit on the experimental metal genre. The members are from all over the world that gravitated together to explore their diverse musical backgrounds with a strong emphasis on
intriguing melodies and creative song structures. The various musical tastes create a modern sound with influences in the Alternative Rock/Metal genre. Formed during 2015, AVEM started
by playing local shows to help define and refine their sound and soon released a 4-track EP entitled “A.M.” that led to international shows in Europe and a band following via digital media.
In 2017, AVEM signed with Wormhole Death and began work on their full debut album, “Meridiem,” which was released March, 2019. The band now presents the first single and video from the debut album "How I Got My Wings"
