Over the past few weeks social media has seen some comments and photos that seemed to be hinting at new music from at least a few members of Motley Crue. Fans were shown Nikki and Tommy together in the studio a few weeks ago. Yesterday, Vince Neil confirmed the suspicions and announced that the full and original lineup of the Crue is recording new songs together!!! He also addressed the "contract" that many people were concerned about saying that they signed a contract not to tour, no one ever said they were breaking up or would no longer make music. Hallelujah!!!!!!!
![]() Mitch Malloy is an amazing singer, producer, engineer & songwriter. He has replaced the singer of Great White, Terry Ilous, who has left the band to pursue his other projects. Malloy has been a solo, recording artist since 1992 and has also been songwriting and producing for many clients such as, Taylor Swift, Boys Like Girls, Kenny Loggins and many more for his Malloy Master Tracks studio. Mitch stated that he respected the 2 previous singers, Jack Russell & Terry Ilous, but he plans on performing Great White’s music his own way. He was quoted as saying: “I have to respect this music honorably. I respect what came before me and have to remind fans where they were when they first heard these songs. I also have to be myself at the same time.” When he first heard his voice singing Great White’s music, he “knew something special was going on.” We wish him all the best of luck and can’t wait to see where the band goes from here! Great White and Mitch Malloy are two of our Vintage Spotlight featured artists this week. You will hear a lot of their music from the past all week and weekend!

We've decided to add some new programming to the station. From now on Friday nights at 8 eastern we will be featuring the New Generation Block. So what exactly do we consider new generation? To put it simply there was a certain sound with 80s metal and hair band music that we love. To discover that so many of the bands that have come out in this millennium have kept that sound and more new bands are coming up every day has been a pleasant surprise. So we want to help our listeners find cool newer music and help the bands find new listeners. We will also be playing new releases by older bands during this segment, before we put them into regular rotation so bands like Every Mother's Nightmare, Dokken and Bulletboys who are still going strong will be featured as well as we continue this new programming and obtain their new releases! As we all know bands come and go- some of the bands we will play during the New Generation block may have disbanded or morphed into another few bands by now. Others are brand new and we can't wait to see them grow. Many of the new generation bands are not from the U.S. although good ol' America has it's share; Switzerland, Sweden , Latvia and many other countries abroad have bred a generation of musicians who believe in leather, big hair and pretty guys. Heavy on the sex, drugs, and Rock'n Roll with a whole lot of alcohol thrown in for good measure. That is something that we LOVE! We're also thrilled to see that our station is being played in numerous countries besides the U.S. ! For our first New Generation block, we'll be playing

Despite losing Tipton from the road, things will still progress forward. Halford stated that they feel like there is always another song to sing or another show to play. The band has a new album, ‘Firepower’ that was released on March 9, and the tour promoting it. They still get offers from all over the world to play international venues. Why ruin a good thing? As long as they have the desire and the want to keep Priest fans happy, I say rock on!! JP is STILL badass and relevant!! L.A. Guns fans were shocked a few weeks ago when the band issued an announcement that stated Michael Grant was leaving the band. Grant had been added as a guitarist while Tracii Guns was not involved in the band. If he was going to be booted out we all expected it would happen when Tracii returned. Instead the lineup continued with both great guitarists until a few days ago. L.A. Guns official Facebook page featured this announcement: “Press Release Michael Grant Leaves L.A. Guns, effective March 5 LOS ANGELES, CA (March 7, 2018) – Michael Grant announced that he left L.A. Guns effective March 5 to pursue other interests including his solo project, Michael Grant & The Assassins. L.A. Guns thanks Michael for his contributions, and we wish him all the best with his future endeavors. L.A. Guns“ Michael Grant appeared on the Eddie Trunk show on Monday March 19, 2018 for an interview. Of course the topic was his leaving the band, since that's been on music website headlines since the post appeared on the L.A. Guns Facebook page. From Michael's telling of the story everyone in the band was sad that he left except for one person- Phil Lewis. While the band released an announcement that Grant was no longer with the band, Grant claims it wasn't his choice, he was fired from L.A. Guns and it had nothing to do with Tracii Guns being back in the band. Looks to me like the band was trying to allow him a bit of respect and not make a full disclosure of the story behind his leaving the band. Apparently Michael Grant wasn't satisfied with that and wanted to tell his side of the story. You can listen to his interview with Eddie Trunk in the video below. The comments section on both the L.A. Guns announcement and the Eddie Trunk YouTube video of the interview are filled with fans that have expressed anger, dismay and support for both sides of this happening. While we, as fans may be shocked by lineup changes, the band members themselves face difficult decisions and many times when someone leaves a band it is like breaking up a family. We experience that vicariously from the outside, and no one is scared to share their opinion on the internet so before you visit the comments sections pop some popcorn or mix yourself a drink. Despite interviews and reports that get one side of the story or the other, there is always what happened behind the scenes to consider. We don't know why Grant was fired, but we do know that L.A. Guns is a band that is back on the upswing with their newest album and the reunion of Lewis and Guns. We wish Michael Grant the best but can't help but wonder why he wouldn't take the graceful out that he was offered. Metal Sludge offered a follow up post to their original report of Grant being fired with more details and a list of possible transgressions by Grant that may have led up to whatever the most recent thing that happened being the last straw with the other members of the band.

![]() This press release found its way into our inbox and we're excited to share the information with y'all! It's been a tumultuous journey for these rockers, and they're releasing a brand new album on March 16th! We're gonna have more for you on this band and the upcoming release. I have an interview with frontman Ron Young coming up early next week! Press/ Radio/ Media in North America: Contact: Dustin Hardman / Press Promotions Nobody quite knew what to think of these long haired, tattooed bikers singing such soulful, yet ballsy, rock music when they arrived on the scene in Los Angeles in 1987. They stood out amongst the "Hair Bands" that populated the music scene at the time.....a distinction the band wore as a badge of honor. Much hype surrounded the band as they were managed by music legend Jimmy Iovine, guided by legendary A&R man John Kalodner and produced by Bob Rock. It seemed like a formula for success, yet the band met an unfortunate set of circumstances that left many scratching their heads shortly after the release of their self-titled debut album. Many were to speculate why the band never achieved the level of success that their legendary team of backers took as inevitable. Many were to speculate that it was due to the dichotomy between the band's gruff appearance and their sound. The truth was that the band fell prey to an unfortunate set of circumstances that occurred in the limited window that bands get to produce sales in, or get exiled in the music business. Three weeks into the bands initial release, Geffen Records was sold, their label Manager left the company, accountants took over, and their records where lost in transit to their new distributors. As sales dropped off due to the lack of product availability, the accountants shut the project down. And so, another band dies....there's always more where they came from in the rough and tumble world that is the music business. Little Caesar first appeared on Metal Blade’s “Street Survivors” compilation. The band then released a four song EP titled “Name Your Poison” (produced by Joe Hardy of ZZ Top fame), which subsequently led to a deal with Geffen Records. Little Caesar’s eponymous 1990 Geffen debut was produced by the infamous Bob Rock (producer of Metallica’s self-titled 1991 multi-platinum release, Motley Crue’s “Dr. Feelgood”, and The Cult’s “Sonic Temple” among others). The album was a no-nonsense collection of hard rock in the vein of ’70s giants like Bad Company and Humble Pie, and was also brimming with classic R&B influences, garnering widespread acceptance and positive reviews from the rock media. It also featured two Motown covers, including a ballsy rendition of the classic Aretha Franklin track, “Chain of Fools,” which hit the Billboard Top 100 chart and received strong airplay nationwide on both rock radio and MTV. The group toured extensively opening for such legendary acts as Jane’s Addiction, KISS, Social Distortion, Iggy Pop, Billy Idol, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. They also headlined their own club tours, and appeared on TV’s popular “Arsenio Hall Show”, “The Rick Dee’s Show”, and MTV’s “Sex in the 90’s”. Vocalist Ron Young was also featured in the movie “Terminator 2” as a tough talking biker that gets into a fight with the film’s star, Arnold Schwarzenegger. 1992 would bring the second full-length album, “Influence”, which would have Earl Slick (of John Lennon, David Bowie, and Ian Hunter fame) replacing Apache on guitar. The “Influence” album was produced by the highly respected Howard Benson (who has recently produced releases for platinum artists like Daughtry, Papa Roach, and P.O.D. among others). The band completed its first tour of Europe after the release of the album and drew rave reviews and sold out crowds across multiple countries including a sold out headlining performance at the famous Marquee club in London. As the band slowly recovered from the shock and lessons learned in the nasty world of the music business, they always remained close, as they are a family way before they are a band. They started to do local shows and remember why they loved music and each other. Since the reformation, the band has played high profile shows at venues as House of Blues, California Speedway for NASCAR, and the Rock The Bayou Festival in Houston TX. In 2010, Little Caesar moved forward with a vengeance on a worldwide level with a release titled "Redemption" as well as touring in the US, Europe and the UK and in 2012, Little Caesar released "American Dream". Produced by Bruce Witkin, a powerful, no nonsense, guitar driven group of songs that takes the band to that same warm R&B driven Rock and Roll Universe they call home. They performed at the Hard Rock Hell festival in Wales in Dec 2012. They returned once again to Europe in 2013 appearing at The Download Festival appearing alongside such acts as Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Rival Sons, and Queens of the Stone Age. In 2016. Bass player Pharoah Barrett (The Four Horsemen) joined founding members Ron Young (Vocals), Tom Morris (Drums) and Loren Molinare (Guitar) and they released a double live CD titled “Brutally Honest” which authentically captured the band’s live energy. In 2017 the band has continued touring the US, UK and Europe and entered the studio to work with Bruce Witkin again for their upcoming release on Golden Robot Records. Joining the band on Guitar is Mark Tremalgia (Bang Tango, Chambers Brothers, Brothers Johnson) whose band “Disreputable Few” has been backing great artists Billy Gibbons, Slash and Butch Trucks. The band has upcoming tours in the UK and Europe to support their 5th studio album and 7th release. ![]() I hope y'all have been enjoying the mixed playlist we've had for the past few days. Really sounds like we have our shit together huh? Guess what, we don't! For those of you who don't know Paul, "the Manamal" himself was in the hospital recovering from major surgery and a staph infection from Feb. 22- Feb. 28. We had music uploaded to the radio host site but nothing planned and put together for actual scheduled sets for Paul, me, Misti, and Robert. So we decided to wing it, we were not going to miss our scheduled launch date just because everything wasn't perfect. If you've heard any bugs like repetitive jingles or things not blending seamlessly from song to song, that's my fault. I am not a radio person, have no audio editing experience and I pretty much jumped into setting the station up while Paul was out of commission. Apologies for lack of perfection, but now I'm getting things down pretty well! So it's just gonna get better, stick with us! Besides our home page you can now also listen to our station streaming live on our Facebook page!!!! Here's what we're looking to launch for all our listeners this coming week! All times are Eastern. Mornings with Misti - All the songs you forgot you loved, and some you will fall in love with for the first time. from 5a.m. to 10a.m. Monday through Friday. And we're working on a few special programs as well for weekends and some weeknights. ![]() With so many rock stars writing memoirs, you may think the upcoming book by Gene Simmons of Kiss is going to be much of the same ol' thing. Think again. Gene is delving into the darker side of success and living the life of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. He's exploring death, and what leads so many young rockers to destroy their lives by the age of 27. The actual title of the book is "27: The Legend and Mythology of the 27 Club". The official synopsis for the book, which will be released in August 2018 reads: "Beginning in the summer of 1969, a slew of major rock stars all died in quick succession: Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, all hugely influential musicians of their time, passed away, under tragic circumstances, and at exactly 27 years old. This is how the rumor of the '27 club' — the idea that there is something fateful, myth-worthy, or even cursed about turning 27 — began. Since then, the morbid pantheon has continued to grow, now including art prodigy Basquiat (d. 1988), legendary NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain (d. 1994), and nu-blues heroine Amy Winehouse (d. 2011), among other unforgettable figures. Becoming a member is a perverse privilege, but the cost of entry is dangerously high. In '27', rock legend Gene Simmons of KISS fame, a man with over 10 million album sales and many a story to his name, will serve as our guide to the enigmatic 27 club, examining sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll from the inside, and answering our enduring questions… Why do we find ourselves obsessed with the untimely deaths of the famous and the infamous? Is the 27 club just a compelling urban legend? What does age 27 really mean for our most beautiful and damned?" Who would know about decades of stardom, excess and fame better than the original Demon of rock? I'm waiting eagerly for this release! ![]()

If you, like me, have never had the opportunity to attend M3 now is a great time to remedy that situation! Those of us of a certain age remember the decade of decadence in all its glory. The M3 festival is designed to bring that feeling back to life. The people who created the music that gets you through your life! The best thing is that all of this occurs in a setting filled with fans just like you, meet up with old friends and make some new ones at M3! It is also a chance for us to introduce our children, the next generation of "long haired freaky people" fans to our music and the way life was for us as teens. Rather than post the amazing lineup for M3, I'm going to make sure you visit their website so that when you see who will be there you will already be in the right place to get your tickets!!!! But I will do a little name-dropping for you... Pretty Boy Floyd!!!!! KIX!!!! Frank Hannon of Tesla!!!!! Okay that's all I'm giving you, click HERE to see the rest. Some of the items people could receive from pledging to Gioeli’s cause are; autographed cds, t-shirts, posters and even a solo acoustic house concert!! As a long time, huge fan, I mean one of those embarrassing fangirl kind of fans, of L.A. Guns nothing makes me happier than brand new music, reunion tour and the fact that BOTH Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns are back in the band together! The last time these two were on an album together was wayyyyy the hell back in 2002 on Waking the Dead. Considering that the band bears his name it's only right that any incarnation of L.A. Guns should have Tracii Guns.
For the past several years, though, Tracii Guns has been pursuing other projects like BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION while Phil Lewis forged ahead with various band members under the L.A. Guns name. Even though they had an amazing frontman, the diluted version of L.A. Guns without Tracii just wasn't the same. Fans were thrilled when Lewis and Guns got back together and released The Missing Peace album in the fall of 2017. This critically acclaimed album brought back the thrilling partnership and collaboration that fans had missed and launched the Reunion Tour. Visit the official L.A. Guns website to find out where the tour will take them in 2018, and plan your concert trip!!! ![]() Rocklahoma time is almost here again!!! Get Your Tickets HERE!!!!
