PENDULUM OF FORTUNE- NEW ALBUM AND NEW LABEL Drummer and rock legend Bodo Schopf (Michael Schenker Group, The Sweet, Falco, Udo Lindenberg,... ) met singer David Readman (Pink Cream 69, Voodoo Circle, Almanac, Tank,... ) on a tour in 2011. In 2014 he played some of his latest compositions to the Englishman and immediately sparked the Readman fire, who was so enthusiastic about the songs that he absolutely wanted to sing them. That was the birth of PENDULUM OF FORTUNE! In October 2017 the first result of this collaboration was the album "SEARCHING FOR THE GOD INSIDE". The album received very good reviews in all relevant rock magazines, so that the next steps were aimed at. One of them was to find a second guitarist - Matze Erhard - to give the sound more pressure live. The new album will be released by EL PUERTO RECORDS on 08 March 2019. It was mixed by Bodo Schopf in his studio in Sardinia. Mastered by Sven "Samson" Geiger in his Neckarklangwerk studio in Stuttgart. Samson is known for his work for the Scorpions, Motörhead, Mothers Finest, Lake, Eloy, Saxon, UFO, Molly Hatchet... to name but a few. Bodo Schopf says: "We are really happy to have found a label in El Puerto Records that still lives and loves music the way we do. Unfortunately, this is no longer a matter of course today, as only business cases balance sheets, follower numbers and clicks in social networks are in the foreground. I think we all - band and label - form a family here with the declared goal of making our music accessible to music fans. What becomes of it is up to you out there. See you on Tour 2019. Return To Eden 2019 Review Kicking off the album "Diamond In The Rough" is a fast paced rock n' roll track with explosive vocals, rhythm and drumming that'll get ya fired up fast. "We Stand For Rock 'N Roll" My favorite track off the album has a great old school feel and comes on strong with great rock anthem lyrics. "Lucky Man" is a cover song performed brilliantly, a great tribute to the original jam from Emerson, Lake And Palmer. "Skin and Bones" is another great song with superb vocals and vintage sounding keyboards accompanied by some excellent guitar work. "Return To Eden" has a lot of nice guitar work incorporated along with keyboards, and darker themed lyrics sounding from days of vintage metal songs. "Wishing Well" has a nice pace and feel to the song, with the band following closely along the lead from the lyrics. "Never Be" really highlights the drums, bass and rhythm in the song with the smooth flowing nature of the song, you'll also hear a nice bit of lead guitar in the song. "Don't Make Fool Of Me" is well composed and has some acoustic sounding guitar work unique to the song. I really like the flow of the songs lyrics and feel of the overall track as a whole, a heartfelt jam. "Broken Universe" snaps you back up and gets your fist pounding right from the start, the track is very diverse in sound but certainly a rocker. "Wings Of A Dove" takes you on a magical journey through the ages of rock 'n roll. "Gravy Train" is a good time rock n' roll song. "Rockanini" an instrumental wonderland of metal progressions. "One Of A Kind" brings a new sound to the album with it's unique instraments heard throughout the album, it's a fun rockin' song. "Bitter End" closes out the album with a dark casting of music over "The Bitter End" Lyrics reaching out from the dark into the mind, great track! "Return To Eden" is a suburb album from Pendulum Of Fortune, very enjoyable and rockable with a lot of vintage hints throughout the album. Recommended for fans of Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and other Vintage sounding bands from days of old. So refreshing to hear the style of metal we all loved so much throughout the 80's and 90's with metal giants on the airwaves. Published by The Manamal | February 22ND 2019
