Raised on a diet of Dogs D'Amour, Cheap Trick, The Dead Boys, Hanoi Rocks and other like minded outcasts
Washington and Hollywood based glam punkers PROPHETS OF ADDICTION's third album - and debut for HiVolMusic - was initially intended to be a full blown, knock you on your ass ride
through the mid 70s. Due to drummer, Wayne Stokley's inability to participate in the recordings, however, the stripped down duo of Led vocalist / bassist Lesli Sanders and lead guitarist, G.G. have decided to deliver an unplugged, raw and emotional set of songs, while waiting for Stokley to be able to return to action.
Album Lineup:
Lesli Sanders – Lead vocals, guitars, keyboards, piano | G.G. – Guitars, backing vocals
While the world awaits the next PROPHETS OF ADDICTION full on glam punk N roll assault, Nothing but the Truth shows that although you take the velocity down a notch or two, the power the emotion and the truth is still there in full force.

PROPHETS OF ADDICTION BIOGRAPHY
The decision to make an entirely unplugged album for their third release didn’t come easy for Lesli Sanders, front man and bassist of fast rising glam / punk n roll act PROPHETS OF ADDICTION. “We were set to begin recording our new full band album in February of last year,” explains Sanders. “… and then we ran into a problem.” That “problem was that drummer and beloved band mate Wayne Stokely had fallen ill. And not just with the stomach flu. “We were set to go on a tour in the spring of 2017 when Wayne told us he wasn’t feeling well and didn’t think he’d be able healthy enough to do the run. So, G.G. and I decided to do the first leg as an unplugged duo, both of us figuring on Wayne being back in shape when we returned. I kept in touch with him throughout the tour and things just went from worse to worst for him. Because of complications with a serious sinus issue he had temporarily lost his vision and to top it all off he was diagnosed with MS. We were devastated, of course, and decided to put off the planned full band rock record and G.G. and I decided to do the Nothing but the Truth album with just the two of us while we wait for Wayne to return to form.” Produced by Sanders himself at Whine Cellar Studios in Tacoma, WA and mixed and mastered by Phil Soussan (member of Ozzy Osbourne’s band, Billy Idol, Beggars and Thieves and more) at Blue Cat Tales in Hollywood, Nothing but the Truth is ten songs that are given the acoustic treatment in their own inimitable raw, dirty and honest way. "Normally I don't like to describe what the songs are about or where I was coming from when writing them, I take great pride in the lyrics which I feel is a lost artform. I usually allow the listener to draw their own conclusions. What may seem to be a long lost love in the traditional sense may actually be a love hate relationship with a drug or addiction problem for example." "American Dream" however is pretty straightforward and my thinking with this one is that my desire and drive for me to do what I do and that is music is just as strong for me today as it was when I began many years ago as a teen. "Seasons will change but I'll stay the same, I'm gonna rearrange the American Dream. " "Return the Smile" is a very simple song with a powerful meaning, it was written in a time of deep despair and drug addiction several years ago. It was a way of me saying I don't want to live this life anymore "I'm gonna put a smile back on your face, I'm gonna make you proud just to say that you know me and you'll stand behind me always be behind me, cuz you will be the strength that drives me when I know your all behind me." In reality I was writing many of the songs while still living in Hollywood struggling with my addictions. Songs of remorse, regrets and wanting to escape what had become of me. After living in Hollywood for 18 years and playing with several influential bands and touring the world it was time to head home and get my life back on track. After doing so and after a few years passed it was time to rock, time to get serious and do this, the year was 2010. The first recording was "Babylon Boulevard" (2011) Cargo Records produced by myself and mixed and by Phil Soussan. The recording received rave reviews by the press: "This is possibly the best album of its genre for many a moon if only G N'R still made records like this the world would be a better place."ubberrock.co.uk #2 CD of 2010 Adam Kulkey Metal Hammer Magazine. "Don't let their glitter image fool you, for this bunch join the dots between Alice Cooper and the Ramones."www.DMME.ne After several years of non stop touring in Europe, Australia and the USA it was time to start working on another recording "Reunite the Sinners (2015 MIghty Music) (Bickee Music Japan) . This time legendary Poison guitarist C.C. even played the guitar solos on the single Kings and Queens, making good on a promise to me that if I would get sober he would play on my record. Once again the record received rave reviews and the band hit the road performing hundreds of shows a year including major festival dates. Raised on a diet of 70’s and 80s anti-conventional acts such as the Ramones, Hanoi Rocks, Bowie, New York Dolls, Sweet, MC5, the Dead Boys and Lords of the New Church to name a few, Prophets of Addiction unabashedly wear their influences on their collective sleeves. Lesli says, “I loved the concept of a "band"a team of brothers making music, making life, and living it as if nothing else mattered. Never trying to be something other than what you are and what you are was just so cool." prophets of addiction links
