The new album sounds fresh and powerful, but OZ still have not forgotten their musical roots. Produced by OZ and Mika Borgersen, mixed & mastered by Lars Chriss & Mike Lind at Masterplant, the album over artwork was crafted by Carl-André Beckston / Blekkmark Design Studio's. Get your copy on April 24TH 2020 on Massacre Records available everywhere Formed in the town of Nakkila, Finland in the late 70’s. Their debut album was released on a Swedish record label – Tyfon Grammofon in 1982. By then the line-up consisted of Ape De Martini (vocals), Kari Elo (Guitar), Tauno Vajavaara (Bass guitar) & Mark Ruffneck (Drums). The Second-hand lady/Rather Knight-single was released the same year. The band gigged around Finland and even appeared on Finnish TV playing Hey You and Second-Hand Lady backed up with pyrotechnics and all. OZ is best known in the Metal World for its 1983 ”Fire In The Brain” album and the classic 1984 ”Turn The Cross Upside Down” Maxi single. Totally OZ have made 7 albums and one EP and been part of several split albums. OZ music has been sold with different record companies around the world during the years. 1991 OZ was taking a break from Metal Music stage, but was back in business 2011 with the new album “Burning Leather” released 18th November 2011 World Wide (AFM Records and Spiritual Beast), produced by Nicke Andersson (Imperial State Electric, ex. Hellacopters, ex. Entombed). Old OZ hard core with Ape DeMartini (Lead Vocals), Jay C. Blade (Bass and Vocals) and Mark Ruffneck (Drums) was back with new guitar players Michel Santunione and John Berg. 2017 was time for "Transition State". The new album was released 20th October by AFM Records World Wide. The new OZ recording and touring line-up is coming totally from Pori/ Björneborg in Finland. It was the time to release the old dogs and hire new hungry wolfs tells OZ founding member Mark Ruffneck.
