When everything was recorded, Pelle started the mixing process. Since he has a very clear vision of how he wants the album to sound, he tries to use the final drum sounds already at the pre-production stage, just to get the right feel for the songs. That way the mixing also gets a head start with the sound already being “set”. This time we went for a bit more guitars and a slightly heavier edge, also there were intentionally no ballads on the album this time. For the guitar sound the inspiration came from TNT’s 'Intuition' album, while John Mutt Lange’s spirit of course hovers over the overall production. The big choruses and distinctive melodies were something we put a lot of work into. We always want songs with a simple rhythmic chant like “Rawk ‘n Roll Hysteria” (of course the Def Leppard pun was very intended) or “Face It”, but also more melodic choruses like “I Would Be The Wind” or “Love Shouldn’t Hurt”. Lyrically, the songs may seem shallow when reading the titles, but many of them deal with a break-up Pelle was going through, and finding new love on the other side.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers..." -Screamer Magazine
