Glasgow rockers HEAVY PETTIN‘ have announced the following tour update for their 2020 shows. "We were hoping and praying this would not be so, but due to the increasing restrictions across UK & Europe relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been forced to cancel our December 2020 tour. We are totally gutted. You have no idea how not being able to get out on the road to play for you guys makes us feel. Our fans mean everything to us." "As you know, earlier this year just after we returned from our hugely successful shows on the Monsters of Rock Cruise, we returned to a rapidly changing world due to the arrival of Covid-19 and consequently had to put all of our then summer 2020 shows and plans on hold. We had hoped things would settle by the end of the year and allow us to get back on the road again to fulfil our exciting end of year dates. Sadly, this can't happen now either, and we are truly sorry that this year's tour will not be possible as it's become well beyond our control due to all the forced restrictions and regulations." "So now, just like everyone else in music, we are planning our 2021 campaign and will keep you posted, so watch all our social media like a hawk! Meanwhile, keep safe. Keep each other safe and keep your eyes peeled and your ears wide open because we're telling you now, super exciting things are coming from Heavy Pettin, just you wait and see!" We love you guys! About Heavy Pettin'
Heavy Pettin' first stirred into action when vocalist Hamie, guitarists Gordon Bonnar and Punky Mendoza, drummer Gary Moat and bassist Brian Waugh first burst out of Glasgow in 1981. They were vibrant, priapic, anthemic and focused. As they showed on a three-track demo, and on the subsequent debut single for independent label Neat (‘Roll The Dice’/’Love Xs Love’), they were more than mere Def Leppard slaves. In fact, the Pettin’ had an international sound that owed something to AC/DC, UFO, Thin Lizzy and Foreigner, but also had its own raging momentum. Not that the band found the road straightforward. But, thanks to a work ethic that took them around the country, plus a valuable session for Radio 1’s prestigious ‘Friday Rock Show’, the band eventually landed a crucial deal with the major label Polydor Records. Moreover, their 1983 debut album (‘Lettin’ Loose’) was co-produced by the creative Mack together with Queen guitarist Brian May. Now, that’s pedigree. Amazingly, that album has survived more than 20 years of high-speed hi-tech developments intact. While other, more celebrated records have dated badly, ‘Lettin’ Loose’ re-affirms the belief back then that the Pettin would follow Leppard to big time stature. What went wrong at the time has little to do with band, or lack of ambition/talent. In America, where they should have broken big long before Bon Jovi gave Love A Bad Name, they were held back by the label’s insistence on an anemic re-mix (as well as a title change to ‘Heavy Pettin’, which caused more confusion than anything else). If the band’s essential, vital British brio had been left as conceived in the first place, who knows what might have been achieved. Still, a slot on the bill for the 1983 Reading Festival, the day that Black Sabbath infamously headlined when fronted by Ian Gillan, did them no harm and touring with both Kiss and Ozzy helped the quintet’s progress. Two years later, the Pettin return to the studio, this time with producer Mark Dearnley (who’d worked with AC/DC and Krokus). The result? ‘Rock Ain’t Dead’, which surprised many with a slicker yet conversely tougher approach. The lads really had progressed, although ironically if things had gone to plan, this would have been produced by Lance Quinn, of Bon Jovi and Lita Ford fame. However, just hours before the band were due to fly to Philadelphia, to work with Quinn at his Warehouse Studios, the decision was taken by PolyGram (to whom both Heavy Pettin and Bon Jovi were signed in the US) that, instead, he should start work immediately on what was to be Jovi’s second record, ‘7800 Degrees Fahrenheit’. Perhaps then, it should have been obvious that record company politics were to scupper Pettin in the crucial American market. Despite continuing to show up well in the UK, once again the US was to prove elusive – through no fault of the five musicians. In many respects, this was the point when the writing was scrawled over every available wall space. Regardless of their obvious determination and grassroots support in Britain, it seemed as if Pettin’s realistic chance of significant international success had gone. A third album, ‘The Big Bang’, was released by FM Revolver in 1989. Although it still proved this lot were way ahead of so many others who were selling truckloads of units and getting acclaim from the media; as the 1980s faded into memory, so too did Heavy Pettin. Driven by a desire, a passion and a capacity simply to invoke the magic and rapport the band enjoyed, they released Prodigal Songs in 2007. The album was well received by their loyal fans and the limited pressing sold out making it a highly sought-after collector’s item. In 2017, original members Hamie, Punky, and Gordon joined by Jez Parry on bass and Michael Ivory on drums performed for the first time in 25 years at Scotland’s WinterStorm. Reinvigorated, Heavy Pettin, now joined by ex-Gun guitarist Dave Aitken due to Punky hanging up his guitar and going in to retirement, did several shows in 2018 including a 6 date UK tour, with 3 sold out gigs in Nottingham, London and Edinburgh, as well as 2 sold out headline gigs in Milton Keynes and Glasgow. The 2019 Heavy Pettin’ assault started in North Wales with HRH AOR Festival, then off to Germany’s Headbangers Open Air Festival in July, and Aug/Sept tour including The Golden Age of Rock Festival Belgium, with Dee Snider and Angel, plus a mainland British tour with RockGoddess.

Genre Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Rock Quiet Riot from Los Angeles, CA formed in 1975 by guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist Kelly Garni, vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth. Despite their local popularity, the group was unable to secure a record deal in the United States. with their first two albums, 1977's "Quiet Riot" and 1978's "Quiet Riot II" released by Sony in Japan. In 1979, Rhoads departed to accept an offer to join Ozzy Osbourne's solo band. DuBrow and Forsyth continued on with new members before splitting in 1980. After that, DuBrow continued with various players under the name "DuBrow". Eventually, Dubrow included Kevin, guitarist Carlos Cavazo, drummer Frankie Banali, and bassist Rudy Sarzo (who initially joined Quiet Riot after the band recorded their 2nd album). In 1982, DuBrow changed their name to Quiet Riot. For many fans, this is the quintessential Quiet Riot line up. QUIET RIOT is a rock & roll phenomenon. Famously described as the first heavy metal band to top the pop charts, the Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album "Metal Health". QUIET RIOT followed up with the album "Condition Critical" which went double platinum and the band continued to record and tour throughout their 25 + year history. QUIET RIOT continues their historic journey in 2012 with Metal Health founding member Frankie Banali who is joined by QUIET RIOT veteran bassist Chuck Wright and QUIET RIOT guitarist Alex Grossi from their last and most stable lineup. They are proud to announce their new vocalist James Durbin to complete the QUIET RIOT lineup. James stepped into the public eye when he came in fourth place on American Idol on season ten. He was known as the "metal" guy and did a performance with Judas Priest on the show. The story of QUIET RIOT begins in 1980 when Kevin DuBrow formed a new band under his own name, working with Frankie Banali and a variety of musicians over the next few years before signing with Pasha/CBS Records, reverting back to the QUIET RIOT moniker, and entering the studio with new guitarist Carlos Cavazo and bassist Chuck Wright to start work on a new album. The year was 1982 and, following Randy Rhoads' well-documented death, former henchman Rudy Sarzo left Ozzy, replacing Chuck Wright who is the bass player on record for both the "Metal Health" and "Don't Wanna Let You Go" tracks, to complete the lineup and sessions for what would become 1983's "Metal Health". Driven by the irresistible double whammy of the title track's muscular bass line and a raucous rendition of the old Slade chestnut "Cum on Feel the Noize," the album stormed up the U.S. charts, duly reaching the number one spot and going platinum five times over in the process at that time. The sales of Metal Health has now exceeded the 10 million mark worldwide to date. QUIET RIOT returned to the studio to record 1984's "Condition Critical", which went on to sell over 2 million copies in the US and included another chart-ready Slade cover in "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" and the self-penned "Party All Night." In 1986 QUIET RIOT re-grouped to launch the QR III record, Sarzo had been replaced by former bassist Chuck Wright. Vocalist Paul Shortino stepped in and recorded 1988's simply named Quiet Riot with Banali, Cavazo, and new bassist Sean McNabb. In 1991, DuBrow and Cavazo began working together once again, joined by Frankie Banali and eventually recording 1993's "Terrified" with bassist Kenny Hillery. "Down to the Bone" followed two years later with Chuck Wright back on bass, and in 1997, a one-off performance at an after-show party hosted by industrial shock rocker Marilyn Manson who had requested to Banali that QUIET RIOT perform, lured bassist Rudy Sarzo back to the fold. With that lineup once again, QUIET RIOT hit the road playing venues across America, Europe, and Asia. This lineup was captured on 1999's "Alive and Well" album, and 2001 saw the release of "Guilty Pleasures". QUIET RIOT officially parted company with Rudy Sarzo and Carlos Cavazo in October of 2003. In 2004 DuBrow and Banali recruited guitarist Alex Grossi and bassist Chuck Wright and continued to tour nonstop throughout 2006 in America, Europe, South America, and Asia. For the recording of "Rehab" in 2006, DuBrow and Banali entered the studio with bassist Tony Franklin and guitarist Neil Citron, both longtime friends of Banali. QUIET RIOT with the lineup of DuBrow, Banali, Wright, and Grossi continued to perform live worldwide until November of 2007 when sadly, Kevin DuBrow's singing career was cut short with his passing on November 25, 2007 at age 52. Frankie Banali's history with QUIET RIOT spans over 28 years and he has the distinction of being the only member of QUIET RIOT to have recorded on every single QUIET RIOT release from 1983's Metal Health through 2006's Rehab. After nearly three years since the loss of his friend and bandmate Kevin DuBrow, and with careful consideration, soul searching and with the blessings and support of Kevin DuBrow's family, Frankie has decided to continue his journey and the musical legacy of QUIET RIOT along with bassist Chuck Wright, guitarist Alex Grossi, and vocalist James Durbin. “Flesh & Blood”
Fresh off celebrating their 40th anniversary, rock legends Whitesnake return with their latest studio album, “Flesh & Blood”. This album follows the 2011 critically acclaimed studio album “Forevermore” and 2015’s “The Purple Album”, a reimagining of Deep Purple classics from Whitesnake mastermind’s David Coverdale’s time in that band. The 13 original, visceral tracks on “Flesh & Blood”, the band’s 13th studio album, are, luckily for you dear reader, “all killer, no filler”, as the saying goes.
But would you expect anything less from the ’Snakes?
Since joining the band four years ago, and just in time for the aforementioned “The Purple Album”, Chicago native Joel Hoekstra has really come into his own, not only as a highly impressive
axe-slinger, but also as a very accomplished songwriter too, co-writing six of the songs for “Flesh & Blood” with singer David Coverdale. Of course Joel’s talents are hardly surprising,
considering he’s the son of two classical musicians.
Guitarist Reb Beach, who originally joined Whitesnake in 2002, has stepped up to become the group’s bandleader and guides the band to implement Coverdale’s musical vision.
As well as bringing his impressive musical chops to the band, Reb has co-written five songs on the new album, the fourth studio album he has appeared on, commencing with 2008’s highly acclaimed “Good To Be Bad”.
It was the “Good To Be Bad” follow up, “Forevermore” (2011), that saw the debut of bassist Michael Devin. The New Englander’s four-string-depth-charge-bass-bombs definitively
underpin and drive the sound of Whitesnake in the 21st century.
Rounding out the rhythm section is David’s longest serving ’Snake, the renowned drummer and unstoppable percussionist Tommy Aldridge, who has been with Whitesnake in some capacity
for 30 years. Tommy made his debut with Whitesnake way back in 1987 in the ‘Still Of The Night’ video, becoming a mainstay behind the kit for successive albums and tours.
Last, but certainly not least, the band is completed by the inventive keyboards and vocals of Italian maestro Michele Luppi, who made his live debut in 2015, as documented on
“The Purple Tour” live CD/DVD (2018).
The current incarnation of the band carries on the long and unwavering tradition of mainman David Coverdale being surrounded by cream of the crop players who go all in to bring fans
the best hard rock humanly possible. 40+ years into their existence, the ‘Snakes fangs have only grown sharper and are ready to inject fans with more of that rock ‘n roll venom they crave.
“Flesh & Blood” will be released May 10, 2019 via Frontiers Music Srl in multiple formats.

For fans of Dee Snider | Twisted Sister | Armored Saint | 80's Vintage Metal Acts
By year's end 1985, 313 had tracked a whopping 10 songs at Gamut Productions, achieving a striking balance between catchy, melodic hard rock and a heavier lean toward traditional metal. Continued writing, rehearsing, and gigging ensued, amidst which an aggressive, faster-paced drummer by the name of Kirk Henry entered the fold—aiding 313's continued growth toward harder-edged metal. Finally, during the winter of 1987/1988, the group settled into Aircraft Recording Studios to complete what should have been their debut full-length album. Sadly, these would prove to be 313's final sessions. After a failed contract with CBS-distributed PARC Records and a short-lived attempt to remain financially solvent as a cover act (operating under the name of Jet Screamer), mounting tensions within the lineup brought things to an end in 1988.
Now, just over 30 years later, Divebomb Records is thrilled to rescue this highly sought-after material from the depths of obscurity with a 20-song, near-complete discography from 313. Fully remastered by Jamie King at The Basement Recording, the disc's booklet is packed with photographs, press clippings, ephemera, and a nine-page interview with the band. For the fans, by the fans!
